Wax ring workshop with local jeweller from Tormund Jewellery

Wax carving is an interesting and effective method of making silver jewellery. The process involves carving a piece of wax into the shape you want. This is then cast and comes back as silver copy of the shape you carved. Intricate pieces can easily and quickly be made using this technique.

During the class you will work on one piece, these will then be ready to collect 3 weeks after the class.

In the class you will learn-

• how the wax casting process works

• how to create designs for wax carving

• how to carve from a block of jewellery wax

The course fee includes all materials and the cost of casting your piece in silver.

Waxes carved during the course are sent to a professional caster; on occasion, waxes can get damaged, lost, or not returned on time.

Suitable for those with no previous experience and a great taster for those taking their first steps into a creative field.
