Moss Studio invite U3A members to join them for an open course of pottery hand-building. For those who are new to working with clay, our expert tutors will guide you through various hand-building techniques, supporting you towards creating your own unique ceramic object. Whether you have an idea for a mug or candle-holder, or a more detailed sculpture, you will be provided with the equipment and guidance to help you to get creating.

This class has been set up especially for U3A members at a reduced session price and is a great opportunity for beginners or those with previous experience to experiment with clay and make their own unique pieces.

Classes will run during term-time on Tuesdays from 11am to 1pm, at £20 per week, booked by half term. The half term dates are as follows:

11th June to 16th July

* The price includes clay, use of all studio equipment (apron, tools, etc provided) and guidance from one of our teachers. Studio dipping glaze is also included. Firing costs are charged separately and according to the size of the item (£1.40/L for a bisque fire and £1.90/L for a glaze fire – for example a mug sized item will cost around £3 total).

The Moss Studio Pottery School has just moved directly across the road to 4C Moss Lane, Altrincham WA14 1BA (on the first floor above Cancer Research). Please note that there are stairs to access the studio – we apologise that there is no disabled access.
